Monitoring & Service: So Important!

So, you have read all the research, walked the trade show floor, and sat through numerous product presentations. You have finalized the tech specifications and have just overseen, in partnership with your technology integrator, the installation of some great new security technology for your building and or property. What is next? Sit back and hope it all runs smoothly? Perhaps, but this is not a likely route, if you want to get value out of your new security technology.
Part of the investment in a security technology system– whether it is cameras, access control, or intrusion– is to understand the service, and monitoring component. Today, many security integrators can provide installation of products, and “sell” end users on short term manufacture warranties. However, these integrators simply move on to the next installation job. Then when the first sign comes of service after the warranty date expires, you are left scrambling.
When United Security, Inc. launched our Integrated Solutions division we knew that our clients could need a full-service solution that would include a Product Service and or monitoring component. Today, when our Integration team designs and implements a new system, we discuss with our clients the importance and cost of service. We explain how the manufacture warranty works, and how the USI service platform complements each other. In the end our goal is to make sure when service problems arise, we are ready with a road map in place.
The same philosophy applies on the monitoring side for Intrusion Systems. Working with a Central Station Monitoring partner who has 24/7 capabilities 365 days a year is not a “nice to have” it is 100% necessity for every commercial building, retail location, campus, healthcare facility, and warehouse.
