History

USI was founded in 1992 originally focused on the security needs of the United States Government and is a scheduled contractor with the General Services Administration (GSA).  Over the years, USI’s ability to meet the stringent requirements of the U.S. Government allowed it to establish long standing partnerships with federal agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Federal Protective Services, The Federal Bureau of Prisons and The Department of Veteran Affairs.  As USI continued to grow, so did its reputation as a premier security provider and investigation service.  Soon, firms from outside the government sector were inquiring into USI’s ability to meet their security needs and USI’s Corporate Security Division was established.

In 2005, USI acquired two new equity partners: George W. Guilfoy and Frank J. Consoli II to join Christine Gelatt one of the original founders.  These gentlemen brought an expertise in the Corporate Complexes and Campus Services and possess in excess of 60 years’ industry experience between them.  Today, USI is comprised of three operating divisions:  Corporate Security Services, Government Security Services, and USI Integrated Solutions Services. Our service footprint extends from Florida through Massachusetts with new projects from partners that have us working as far west as California.  USI prides itself on being able to offer an Owner/Operator solution in every market that we service.
