When United Security was awarded the security officer contract for The Greater Boston Food Bank our entire team were excited to partner with an amazing organization.  The Greater Boston Food Bank operates a 117,000 square foot distribution center in South Boston.  Each year approximately 109 million pounds of healthy food pass through this center and is distributed across eastern Massachusetts’s.  Organizations like the Greater Boston Food Bank operate via the generosity of donors, volunteers and partners.   Their results are truly amazing as children, families, and seniors in need receive food for healthy meals.  This past year they provided 90 million meals.

Recently our Boston team was able to spend a day volunteering packing trucks of healthy food destined for the 600 partner agencies and distribution sites.  Noted by Executive Vice President Deo Arruda, “One of USI’s Core Values is Community, and today the team that volunteered packing the trucks are overcome with pride as we were able to give back assisting not only an important client, but the community as a whole who benefit from these services.  Our team can’t wait to come back for another day to help out.”
