United Security is excited to announce the addition of Kerry Lear as the new Regional Sales Manager. Kerry is well known in the security services world as she worked for one of the larger billion dollar security companies and is responsible for the generation of millions of dollars in new client relationships. Her reputation as a client advocate in providing the right security program versus boilerplate RFP responses have helped to solidify her as one of Boston’s brightest security minds.

COO and owner George Guilfoy commented, “Having someone with Kerry’s experience, and name recognition in Boston combined with the United Security brand will assist in our growth throughout New England. We are excited to welcome her to the USI team.”

Kerry will be covering the following states: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Maine. She will be working with clients to provide the very best armed and unarmed security officer services. Listed below is some fun information to get to know Kerry a little better.

  1. First Job you ever had? My actual 1st job was at Dunkin Donuts.
  2. Vacation choice: Beach, Lake or Snow? I grew up boating on the lakes of Maine, so I choose the lake life.
  3. How did you get into the Security Industry? Was looking for an industry change and a good friend and former employee of mine introduced me to the General Manager of G4S.
  4. If given the choice to spend an afternoon watching sports, or shopping – what would you choose? Shopping, definitely shopping!
  5. Do you love the changing seasons of New England or would you prefer a full year of hot and or colder weather? I love the changing seasons of New England and even while I lament the cold in the winter, I don’t think that I could ever give it up.
  6. What is more challenging: Raising 3 boys or convincing a tough client on why they need a new security officer partner? Definitely raising 3 boys or at least raising them well.
  7. How do you feel the security industry has changed with respect to female’s in leadership roles from property management to security vendor organization’s? I think it is an exciting time for women in business in general and especially in security.  Over the past decade I have noticed a marked increase in the number of female executives within almost all of the organizations I have partnered with.  Within the security field, more and more female mentors are stepping forward to help train and promote the next generation of managers and supervisors.  I am very impressed with the number of female executives at USI.
  8. What are you most excited about in taking over this role? I am very excited to be working with what I feel is an exceptional group of leaders to bring the best security programs to our market.  I plan to bring my enthusiastic hard work and industry knowledge and hope to learn from the team the secrets of their success.
