Re: Health and Safety Fact Sheet – Corona Virus Update #4
With the outbreak of Corona Virus in certain parts of the country and in certain countries around the world, as well as the on-going flu season, we would like to provide some helpful facts and information for all of our employees, to create awareness about seasonal flu and viruses:
The flu and other viruses, such as Corona Virus, can be prevented by practicing good habits. Both the CDC and World Health Organization recommend the following, common-sense habits, to stay healthy and to prevent the spread of the flu and other viruses, which are most prevalent in the winter months:
- Frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Coughing or sneezing into the crook of your elbow
- Using tissues and throwing them away immediately
- Avoiding touching your face, eyes and mouth with unwashed hands
- Staying home when sick with a fever and flu-like symptoms
- Limiting contact with anyone who has flu-like symptoms
- Washing your hands and using hand sanitizer after being public places
- Seeking medical attention if you feel that you have been exposed to the flu or another virus, such as Corona Virus
- Getting a flu shot. It’s not too late!
I will continue to provide information to all of our employees. If you have any questions, or need additional information, please contact me at any time at 203-353-3322. I am here and happy to help!
