The past four months we have highlighted our Silent Heroes who as “Essential” workers have gone to work during the Covid-19 Pandemic and provided a heightened level of support to our clients.  In early June protests and riots broke out in many US cities where our security officers are patrolling client sites.  Our Silent Heroes have been amazing and heroic in their roles as security officers.  Below are some examples of their fine work.

Jonathan Munk – Washington DC

Jonathan Munk spent over 28 years with the Metropolitan Police in Washington DC before retiring as a Lieutenant in 2019 and joining United Security. Jonathan is currently the security director at one of USI’s flagship accounts in Washington DC.  During the recent civil unrest around the country, Washington DC became the epicenter and was very active with protests, rioting and the influx of protesters from other areas. Jonathan worked tirelessly to gather crucial intelligence from his contacts on what was going on in the area surrounding the site and made sure that his security team were fully briefed and trained to react accordingly should any actions affect the sites. Jonathan has also developed a strong working relationship with our client and made sure that they were kept fully briefed on what was going on in the area. Jonathan is recognized for his efforts and dedication in working tirelessly and going above and beyond for the protection of our client’s building.

Alvin Pierre-Louis & Serge Fanfan – Boston, MA

Security Officers Alvin Pierre-Louis and Serge Fanfan were working the overnight shift in early June.  Due to planned protests in the area surrounding the Boston Common, the officers were asked to lock all doors.

While the riots were going on outside the building, Alvin and Serge stood by the front doors to let their presence be known.  Rioters did attack their building by throwing items in attempt to penetrate the building lobby.

Alvin and Serge were able to stand post as a deterrent to the rioters, and then document damage to the property via video and pictures.  Building ownership and property management has extended their thanks for the fine work that was done by Alvin and Serge under intense circumstances.

Hiruy Tesfaye – Boston, MA

CBRE does as good a job as any one in marketing their buildings to potential tenants.  The CBRE Marketing Team were in a CBRE building setting up for an event that would showcase a new property.  Security Officer Hiruy Tesfaye witnessed the CBRE team having some difficulties.

He jumped into action volunteering his help.  Hiruy has a reputation of “Owning the Lobby” experience for all visitors so that they experience not only a great looking lobby, but a warm, welcoming, and informative team of Security Officers.   He took the lead setting up the stage, moving furniture, and carpets.

The CBRE Marketing Team appreciated his above and beyond efforts and they loved his initiative and design ideas.

Daniel Forrest – Quincy, MA

Daniel is an Account Manager for a client site in Quincy, MA.  1,500 protesters used the area outside this client site for the staging area for a protest.  Utilizing his training and years of leadership experience, Daniel put into effect a security plan that included coordinating with Quincy College Security and the Quincy Police Department.

Daniel stayed with his team and the local police throughout the night on our client site to ensure the protection of the clients building, and the safety of his team.  Happy to report that the client site received no damage.  Daniel’s work is appreciated by his team, the local police and the client who own and manage the property.

Thank you to all our Security Officers who continue to go above and beyond every day in their positions as they hold the front lines of safety.
