Recently, Public Safety Supervisor Kendrick Joseph dispatched Public Safety Officers Donnel Brown and Steven Carrion to a pull station fire alarm in their site parking garage. Upon arrival, the officers found a young male sitting on the west side edge of the garage. PSO Brown approached the individual, while PSO Carrion immediately called 911.

When local fire personnel arrived, Kendrick informed them that the young male had triggered the fire alarm and was threatening to jump from the roof. Demonstrating calm and decisive action, PSO Brown successfully grabbed the young male from the ledge and safely placed him on the ground.

Local police later arrived on the scene and revealed that the individual had a history of mental health issues. Emergency medical services also arrived, and the young male was transported for evaluation.

The quick thinking and dedication of Donnel, Steven, and Kendrick truly made a difference in what could have been a much more challenging outcome. Please join us in congratulating them for their outstanding work!
