David James DuBeau: USI Employee of the Year Award

Dave DuBeau was a Security Director for United Security and a highly respected, and admired employee. Dave passed away in early 2019, and to honor his memory at USI, we created an annual award. This award is titled the David James DuBeau USI Employee of the Year. Each year management identifies employees that personify the characteristics that embodied Dave. He was deeply passionate about mentoring fellow employees, sharing his experience, and providing great customer service.
This year United Security is excited to announce that Ray Ferrell is the first recipient of the David James Dubeau USI Employee of the Year. Ray is currently the Security Director at the Outlets of Little Rock, a New England Development property. Before United Security, Ray had a stellar 30-year career in law enforcement and retired with honor. Retirement was short lived and a desire to share his knowledge led Ray to the security industry. His engaging personality, openness to new ideas, and focus on delivering results make him invaluable to his team, and clients.

Ray Farrell is an asset to USI as well as New England Development’s portfolio of Outlet Centers assisting Mall Management and Security Directors alike. When needed, Ray has traveled to other NED properties to assist with training and transitional coverage offering his knowledge and experience. Ray is a valuable team member and does a fantastic job at the site of one of our most important clients. He will be the standard bearer of the excellence that is required to be nominated and win this award in years to come.”
To commemorate this award Ray was invited to United Security’s annual Managers Meeting in Boston this month. He was presented the honor by Regional Vice President Kevin Gleason. He received a beautiful glass award to take home and share with his family, friends, and his team in Little Rock. He provided some compelling and encouraging words that moved everyone in attendance. USI has also created a perpetual plaque award that will reside at our headquarters in Red Bank, NJ. Each year the recipient’s name of this award will be engraved on this plaque.
